Q&A: Toe Nail Fungus Remedies

Q.  My big toe has a fungal infection.  Can I get rid of it without taking that oral medication?
A.  Those toe nail fungal infections are really tough to get rid of! Oral medications can work well but they require regular blood work to check on liver function. Your doctor can prescribe a topical treatment so you can avoid oral medication.

There are a few home remedies you can try that some of my clients have had some success with.  You must be diligent with any fungal treatment to get rid of that nasty fungus.

Vicks Vapor Rub- apply to the infected toe 3-4 times per day
Listerine- soak the infected toe 2 times per day
Bleach- mix 1part bleach to 3 parts water and soak the infected toe 2 times per day
White Vinegar- soak the infected toe 2 times per day
Tea Tree Oil- Apply 1-2 drops under the infected toe nail 3-4 times per day
Fungi Nail- Find it in your drug store for about $14.00

Have a beautiful day!
