Revlon Mineral Makeup

Halle Berry's skin looks so beautiful in the ad for Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup. I'm not a big fan of mineral makeup, but I know lots of people who are. I want to love it. It's a more natural foundation. It has a natural sunblock in it and it is quick to apply. But, for me it accentuates the pores, can look a little cakey and adds too much sheen. I thought I would try the Revlon Mineral Makeup anyway because it contains coconut water which is wonderful for hydrating the skin. The makeup comes with a handy little brush that slides right in and out of the container's lid.   It is the strangest feeling though, the powder is dry but it feels cool and wet when it is applied to the skin.  It doesn't feel bad, just unusual and unexpected.

The coverage is okay and it leaves a light reflecting finish with a slight sparkle. The sparkle seems to dissipate after a couple hours of wear which is good since I think sparkle looks best only in specific areas not over the entire face. It did feel hydrating but it is mineral makeup so it still has those characteristics that I don't love. I was told it looked good. It was just an okay product for me.  If you are a mineral makeup fan, you may love it!  It comes in 8 shades and has an SPF of 13. You can find it in drugstores for about $14.00.

Please note: Revlon is now on the animal testing list. It wasn't when this was written but it is now. This product has been discontinued.

Have a Beautiful Day!
