Beauty Sleep Tip #4

Melatonin is a hormone that the small pineal gland makes in our brains. It is known as the sleep hormone. We need melatonin for good sleep. Darkness stimulates melatonin release. Levels actually increase mid to late evening. Artificial light sources can disrupt melatonin release disrupting our sleep.  We ensure we get good sleep, we to sleep in the dark. No TV. No computer. No nightlight. No bright clock. Blinds drawn.
