Q&A: Thick Polish

Q. Why does my fast drying polish get thick in the bottle? It's not even old!

A. Quick drying polishes are designed so that the solvents evaporate out of the polish quickly allowing the polish to harden fast after it has been applied to your nails. The solvents will also evaporate quickly out of the nail polish bottle each time it is opened. Use a nail polish thinner formulated for the brand of polish you are using to thin it. If the polish has become super thick, it's not worth thinning. Toss it and get a new bottle.
