The Vampire Facelift

Sounds creepy doesn't it? This is an anti-aging treatment that uses the patients own blood so it has been nicknamed The Vampire Facelift!

This facelift is actually an injectable dermal filler called Selphyl.  A small amount of the patient's blood is drawn.  The platelets are separated from the red blood cells.  A thickened concentrate called a platelet-rich fabrin matrix is prepared to be used as the filler. It is then injected in lines and wrinkles filling them and stimulating the production of collagen and new cells in the skin.  It lasts at least 15 months costing $800-$1200 per session.
