How to Apply Face Gems

A few gems add some sparkly drama to your makeup for a party or special event. The rhinestones and gems used for nails designs work great on the skin. They are not sticky so you will need some glue to apply them. How to Apply Face Gems Lash Glue Stick rhinestones and other nail gems on your skin with a little eyelash glue.  If you are allergic to latex, read your labels on the eyelash glue. Most contain latex. Look for a non latex lash glue. Petroleum Jelly You can also use a little petroleum jelly, but gems are brushed off more easily than with eyelash glue. How to open a stuck bottle of polish

Don't you hate when you try to open a nail polish bottle and it's stuck shut? Here are some remedies to get it to open. Run the bottle under hot water for a couple minutes to loosen it up, dry it off and you should be able to open it. Still stuck? Try a rubber jar opener or a rubber glove. No luck? Turn the bottle upside down. Use a Q-tip saturated in polish remover to get between the neck of the bottle and the lid letting drops of remover drip inside the lid. Wrap a tissue around the bottle to catch the remover that will drip out when you turn it right side up.  That should do it! Now, clean up the bottle so it doesn't get stuck again. Use polish remover on cotton to clean up the old hardened polish on the bottle.  Then, clean up the old hardened polish that is inside the top by using a Q-tip or an orangewood stick tipped with cotton soaked in polish remover.           Have a Beautiful Day!  xo Jill Licensed Cosmetologist,  Esthetician,  Makeup Artist PS: Th

Are Tresemme Products Tested on Animals?

I recently noticed something different on the labels of Tresemme products. The magic words "not tested on animals" are missing! Alberto Culver was the manufacturer. It is now Unilever.     I always liked Tresemme. The products were good, inexpensive and not animal tested. I won't use them now.  I contacted Tresemme by email to let them know my displeasure. The response from Unilever was a link explaining how they are working on alternatives to animal testing. Here is the link if you would like to read it.   http://www.unilever.com/sustainable-living/Respondingtostakeholderconcerns/testing/ If you too are unhappy that Tresemme is no longer not tested on animals, contact Unilever and let them know. Go to Tresseme.com to the contact us page and send them a message. We all need to speak up letting manufacturers know we don't want our beauty products tested on animals!  Here is a link to the contact page. https://secure.tresemme.com/contactus   The
