Photosensitvity is the interaction of a food, skin care ingredient or medication with UV light. It can cause rashes, sunburns and hyperpigmentation (brown spots).

Wear a high SPF sunscreen if your are taking a medication that causes photosensitivity and limit your sun exposure.

Always be aware of what you are putting on your skin. Read ingredient lists. Avoid applying
photosensitizing ingredients if you are going to be in the sun.

The list of potential photosensitizers is long.
