Dry Exfoliation

Visit Jill's Beauty Adventures

Shorts weather is just around the corner and I don't know about you, but my legs are nowhere near ready for shorts! I've got to get to work! For starters, I'm going to work on improving the look of my skin with some good dry exfoliation. Dry exfoliation is done when the skin is not wet with sloughing gloves or a dry body brush. Exfoliating gloves are rough. Put them on, don't wet them and run your hands over your legs concentrating on those especially dry areas such as the knees, ankles and heels of your feet. Then, shower as usual with a moisturizing body wash. Finish with a good moisturizer.

If you choose, you can use a body brush instead of gloves. You will also use the body brush dry before you shower on dry skin. Use your brush in a circular motion covering all areas of your legs. Shower and moisturize. I like to dry exfoliate a couple times a week. You can find sloughing gloves and body brushes right in your local drug or super store.
