What does Moisturizer do

Q. What does a moisturizer actually do for the skin?

A. A basic moisturizer is meant to put a protective film over the skin to prevent moisture loss and improve the look of the skin by hydrating it, but a moisturizer will also make the skin more flexible. Flexible skin will not get lines as easily when facial expressions are made. Moisturized skin also tends to be stronger than unmoisturized skin. Dry skin cracks easily.

A moisturizer containing anti-aging ingredients, such as retinol or peptides, will encourage collagen and elastin production in your skin and will actually help the skin look younger with continuous use.

The best time to apply a moisturizer is after the skin has been cleansed. Apply the moisturizer after skin has been patted dry and is slightly damp to seal in water.

Nerium AD: Nerium Oleander Side Effects (part 1)
