Here are a few tips to help moisturize dry hair and give it more life
MassageMassage your scalp for 5-10 minutes daily to stimulate circulation and oil production in the scalp. Your natural oils will condition your hair.
Wash Less
Don't wash your hair everyday. It can strip out your natural oils leaving your hair dry and lifeless. Try washing every 2-3 days. Even better, just wash it once or twice a week.
Use the Right Products
Use a shampoo and conditioner made for dry hair. Try Aveda Dry Remedy Shampoo and Conditioner.
Conditioner tip:
Make sure your conditioner has the chance to absorb into your hair. When the hair is very wet, the conditioner runs off of the hair instead of absorbing into it. Squeeze the water out of your hair after shampooing. You can even use a towel to squeeze the water out. Then, apply your conditioner. Leave the conditioner on your hair for 3-5 minutes then rinse.
Use a leave it conditioner

Use a Hair Mask
Give your hair a deep conditioning treatment once a week with a hair mask. Wash your hair, squeeze out the water, apply the hair mask, leave on for 10 minutes and rinse. Try Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask.
Blow Dry Quicker
Reduce your blow drying time for less exposure to the blow dryer's drying heat. You will save energy too. A blow dryer uses 1500 watts of energy per hour!
1. Squeeze the water out of your hair with your hands.
2. Wrap your hair in a towel while you dry off and apply your body lotion.
3. Remove towel and comb out your hair with a wide tooth comb.
4. Wrap your hair in a towel again for at least 15 minutes while you do other beauty rituals. The longer you wear the towel the better.
5. Divide your hair into 4 large sections and clip the sections up. You are going to blow dry and style the hair in small sections at a time. Start with the back sections. Take down the bottom halves of the clipped up back sections. Aim the blow dryer from the roots of the hair towards the ends to smooth down the cuticle of the hair. Take down the rest of the back sections and dry them. Move on to the top sections and continue in the same fashion.
