Our Wedding Planning, Part Two: The Photographer; Photos by Mary, Photographer in Philadelphia Area

If you haven't seen my part one post about wedding planning, the exciting news is, my daughter is getting married! I get to experience wedding planning on a whole new level as Mother of the Bride!!!

We've gotten the venue squared away for our September 2021 wedding. It's The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs. It's a gorgeous historic venue! Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a garden wedding with a rustic elegant feel. I'm very excited about it!

Now we have our photographer booked!

Since I do bridal makeup professionally, I get to meet many photographers and see lots of different creative styles of photography.

There is the tradition style with very classic looking photos. There is a dramatic style that has a shadowy moodiness about it. There is a whimsical fairytale style.

One of my bride's engagement and wedding photos had a fairytale quality to them. Emily literally looked like a princess in her engagement photo session! Here she is. I had the honor of doing her makeup for her engagement pics as well as on her wedding day.

Whatever the style, I feel the photos should capture not only the beauty of the wedding day but the deep emotion that goes along with it. For me, the emotion feeling in a photograph is what makes a photograph exceptional.

My daughter wants her wedding photos to have a beautiful, light, bright, airy quality. She doesn't seemed to be worried about the photos capturing emotion. That's all me. She will appreciate seeing the emotion when she looks back on her wedding photos one day, though.

We found Mary Blank, from Photos by Mary!!! She has since branched out into commercial photography and does weddings by referral only. Windborne co

Mary creates the beautiful, light, airy photos that my daughter is looking for and also captures the emotion that I'm looking for, so both of us will be happy! She is a nature lover and has the ability to showcase it beautifully in her photography.

Mary based in Lancaster, Pa serving the Northeastern United States: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware. She also loves to travel and does destination weddings. Her prices fit right in our budget, too. She is lovely! We looking forward to working with her.

Here is some of her beautiful work.

Nerium AD: Nerium Oleander Side Effects (part 1)

Have you heard about Nerium AD? It is an anti-aging cream sold though the multi level marketing company Nerium International, LLC launched in August 2011.   The cream contains it's namesake, extract from the nerium oleander plant.  Botanicals are all the rage, so this is good, right? It's from a plant, good, right?  Oh, did I forget to mention that nerium oleander is poisonous? All parts of the plant are poisonous, the leaves, the seeds, the bark, the sap, the flowers and the extract. Even honey that is made by bees that use the oleander flowers for nectar is poisonous!  Now that's one dangerous plant!  All varieties are poisonous.  I've read, from any sources, that it is one of the most poisonous plants in the world. Here are the beautiful oleander flowers. Beautifully poisonous. Nerium has been used for centuries as a folk remedy for to treat a variety of ailments. It is also a favorite suicide agent in Sri Lanka. It has been used as a rat poison and...
