Fall Nail Colors 2018: Zoya Element Collection

zoya leighton element collection
I always hate to see the summer end, but it's always exciting to get new nail colors when the seasons change, especially deep, dark fall colors with a glass like finish. My purple and wine nail color lovers, you're going to be very happy with the Zoya Element Collection for fall 2018! By wine, I'm talking about the beautiful colors of rose, sangria, marsala, cabernet......🍷🍷🍷
zoya element
There are super shimmery nail colors, light and mid tone shades and beautiful dark mysterious colors.
zoya element collection
The Element Collection includes 2 soft shimmers, 2 glittery foils and 8 creams many in shades of pink, mauve and purple. All of the nail colors apply beautifully with full streak free coverage and lots of pigment.

Devin

zoya devin
Devin is a grayed purple blue with multi-colored fine glitter for an amazing foil finish. My glitter lovers are going to adore this one!

Rumor

zoya rumor
Rumor is the lightest color in the collection. It is a mauve taupe with a subtle shimmer. Soft and romantic!

Jenna

zoya jenna
Jenna is a dusty rose pink cream with blue undertones. I had trouble photographing this one due to that blue tone coming through in the pics. This color looks more dusty in person than in the picture.

Ruthie

zoya ruthie
Ruthie is a raspberry rose cream. It's an easy to wear color for many skin tones.

Maryann

zoya maryann
Maryann is a pinky rose with a subtle shimmer. Coincidentally, I have a client Maryann and this is just her color!!!

Kendra

zoya kendra
Kendra is a rich wine cream with a beautiful glossy finish.

Alyssa

zoya alyssa
Alyssa is a deep red cream. This is the warmest color in the collection. Reds are always a perfect choice for the fall!

Donnie

zoya donnie
Donnie is a somewhat bright purple cream. It's a happy color!

Maeve

zoya maeve
Maeve is a yummy grape cream.

Rachael

zoya rachael
Rachael is a deep mulberry cream. It's one of those dark, smooth glassy nail colors I just love!

Leighton

zoya leighton
Leighton is the darkest, most dramatic color in the collection. It's a blackened aubergine cream. So smooth and glassy, you can almost see yourself in the reflection! One of my favorites!

Gardner

zoya gardner
Gardner is my favorite fun color in the collection! It's a deep periwinkle with a fine magenta shimmer with a glimmering foil finish. Love it!!!

The Element fall nail color collection is available now even though we still have a month of summer left to enjoy!

Zoya professional nail lacquer wears quite well on natural nails and is free of the harmful ingredients formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, camphor, TPHP, parabens, xylene, ethyl tosylamide and lead.

You can find Zoya at salons, spas, zoya.com and on amazon.

Beach Bag Skin Care Essentials

Negril, Jamaica
Ready for the chill on the beach on your vacation? The last thing you want to do is realize you forgot something important while you are on the relaxing on the beach.

Some items are obvious like sunscreen, but I have a few unexpected essential items that you may not have thought to put in your beach bag.

Beach Bag Essentials

Sunscreen SPF 30 to 50
Never forget your sunscreen! Some are better for you than others according to The Environmental Working Group. Some brands that scored well are Bull Frog, Alba Botanica and Juice Beauty. Here is a link to the Environmental Working Group's Guide to Sunscreens to help you choose the safest sunscreen for you and your family.

Lip Protection
Don't forget to protect your lips! Use a tinted lip balm to protect your lips with pretty sheer color. Try Babo Botanical SPF Lip Tint Conditioner or Sky Organics Organic Tinted Lip Balm.

Baby Powder
Baby powder in a beach bag? Yes! Put a small baby powder in your bag. Sprinkle a bit on areas of skin that have clinging sand. Lightly spread it over the area. Then, dust it off. It helps remove sand that is stuck to your skin and helps reduce the rashy irritation the skin can get from the sand.

Sun Glasses

Be sure they have UVA/UVB protection to protect your eyes and the skin around your eyes from wrinkle causing UV rays.

A Hat

A hat of course. A hat that has a floppy 3" or larger brim offers the most protection from the sun. Especially a hat that has sun protection right in the fabric.

The Wallaroo Hat Company has a nice selection of hats with a UPF rating. UPF is Ultaviolet Protection Factor. Fabric with a UPF rating offers a higher amount of sun protection than regular fabrics. The fabric has a tighter weave, a heavier weight and minimal stretch than regular fabrics.  They can also have chemical UV absorbers and UV Reflectors. A rating of 50+ is great protection.
A Hair Tie
Throw an elastic hair tie in your bag to make a pony tail after you get tired of your hair blowing in your face from the wind.

Baby wipes
You will need them for removing sand from the hands before a snack.

A healthy anti-oxidant snack
I love a snack on the beach. Choose a smart snack. Pack a healthy snack of fruit such as watermelon and blueberries.

Not only are these fruits refreshing on a hot day at the beach, they are full of anti oxidants that give your skin a little extra natural sun protection.

Pack your fruit in a reusable container. A plastic bag that takes off in the wind is no good for the beach birds and the sea creatures.

Bottled water
You need to drink water on the beach to stay hydrated while in the sun. Use a reusable water bottle or be careful to take your water bottle including the cap back to the beach house for recycling. Plastic caps are dangerous for beach birds and sea creatures who mistake them for food.

A small bottle of olive oil
Why in the world would you need olive oil on the beach? For a beach beauty treatment! You can apply it to your feet then, massage them with sand for fabulous exfoliation of rough skin. It can be any oil you like really.

There are some practical non beauty items you may want to pack in your bag as well.

Cell phone protection
A zip close plastic sandwich bag is great protection for your cell phone from sand and moisture. Your phone's touch screen actually works through it when the bag is pulled tight.

And, of course,

tissues and napkins,

a little cash for ice cream from the Fudgy Wudgy guy,

a towel,

and a steamy beach read.
