Happy Halloween Nail Designs Ghosts Tutorial

It's time to add a little Halloween fun to your nails. We all could use more fun these days. Here are my shimmering ghost nails to celebrate Halloween if you haven't seen them before. I love how each one seems to have its own personality. This one is my favorite. These are not decals. I paint them on so they are my own original creations.  You don't have to paint one on every nail if you don't want to. One or two would look super cute! Here is an easy step by step to create them. I included some Amazon affiliate links & a Zoya link to help you find the perfect supplies. How to Paint Ghost Nail Art Polish your Nails I polished my nails with Zoya Matte Velvet Lacquer in Savita. Savita has been discontinued.   Zoya Iris Matte Velvet  is a beautiful substitute.  The deep purple metallic matte finish is gorgeous. It makes a perfect background for my little ghosts. Christmas Flamingo Nail Designs: Fa la la la Mingos

It's holiday nail design time and I was invited to participate in the Holiday Nail Art Challenge at Nail Polish Canada! I always create new fun and festive nail art at Christmas time. I decided to paint some fun, whimsical designs for my holiday nail designs this year. Christmas flamingos.  Fa La La La Mingos They are fun, they are happy, they are pink, and they are a bit quirky for Christmas time in the Philadelphia area which suits me just fine! It all starts with a sketch to plan the designs and colors. After the planning I started my little works of art by polishing the nails with Zoya Leigh topped with Zoya Bela to create the perfect nude pink background for my flamingos.   Zoya Sandy was the perfect flamingo pink f...

Red, White and Blue Nail Designs: Absolut America Party with a Purpose & Lemon Moscow Mule Cocktail Recipe

My husband came home with a bottle of Absolut Vodka for his favorite summer cocktail, the Lemon Moscow Mule. The Absolut bottle was all cute in a red, white and blue design. I just love it!  ❤ I will be keeping this bottle, the empty bottle of course! 😜 As it turns out, this is a limited  edition  Absolut  America bottle to help raise money to Keep America Beautiful.  From May 1, 2018 till September 3, 2018, Absolut will donate one dollar to one of four  charities including  Keep America Beautiful   for each picture submitted showing how you party with a purpose this summer. You can select your charity and submit a pic on the  Absolut site .    (You will need to sign in with your age over 21.) Fun and giving back at the same time. It's all good! The simple painted design on the Absolut America bottle inspired me to create some bold, simple red, white and blue nail designs for the upcoming July 4th holiday. Simple stars and ...

Snowman Nail Design

My 2017 Holiday Nail Designs  The theme for my holiday nail designs this year is A Snowman's World. I entered these designs in a holiday nail contest. I wasn't the winner but t hank you to those who voted for me! 😘  Click here to see the winners.   My inspiration came from our first snow of the season we just had, December 10th, here in the Philadelphia area. It was the perfect day to stay cozy in the house, watch the snow fall and paint the natural beauty a snowman would see on a winter day. I wanted soft colors: pastel shades of pink, mint and lavender, mauvy putty, black and white against a blue gray background with lots of icy sparkle. Acrylic paint is my favorite for painting nail art. It goes on smooth and it's easy to mix a multitude of colors. I also used Zoya Jana  for painting my snowman's hat and pine cone design because it is the perfect mauvy putty color I was thinking of. Plus, it saved me the trouble of mixing up the paint.🎨 ...
