It's time to sparkle and shine for that New Year's party, romantic dinner, or to just look fun and festive now or any time of year! I want to show you some of my favorite makeup items to add a little glamour and glitz to yourself. I have lots of favorite brands. All cruelty free of course! Today I will show you some things from Laura Geller, Too Faced and Zoya. Let's start with the Laura Geller's Baked Gelato Swirl Iluminator in Gilded Honey.  This remains one of my favorite things year after year. It can be used as an eye shadow or as a highlighter on the cheeks or on the cupid's bow for a gentle gold shimmer. I use this product all the time not just holiday time. Long beautiful eyelashes are all the rage. I like enhancing the natural lashes to their full potential instead of relying on falsies or expensive lash extensions. Don't get me wrong, false lashes and lash extensions look fabulous, but I for one, don't like the glue. I find it irritating.   And.... my brides are always worried the lashes will start to unglue before the night is over. It can happen. I even saw lashes come unglued on Dancing with the Stars! How to Apply Lash Fibers to your Lashes Start Clean First, always start with clean lashes. Get rid of any mascara remnants that will interfere with a smooth mascara application. Use an oil free makeup remover and rinse your face for good measure.  Curl 'em Curl the top lashes with a lash curler. Warm the curler with a blow dryer to get maximum curl that lasts.  Test the curler on your wrist to make sure it's not too hot. C url lashes 3 times with your eyelash curler at the root, the middle and near the ends. ...

Does Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara live up to it's name? Too Faced claims Better Than Sex Mascara is their #1 Selling Prestige Mascara and it's their best mascara. I love you Too Faced, but if this is your best mascara, I would hate to see your worst!!! I'll show you a picture of why it's not one of my favorites.  I used Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara on one of my prom clients recently. She actually brought her mascara with her to use. I have to say, it made her lashes look dark and long although, not quite as smooth as I like lashes to look. I decided I should try it on myself so I picked up a tube. The mascara packaging is beautiful! The mascara tube is a lovely color and has sturdy weight to it. The brush is an hourglass shape designed to separate, coat and curl the lashes.
