Holiday time is upon us. That means it's time for looking your very best for all those parties and get togethers. You don't have to spend a lot of money to create a new holiday look. This nice little plum eye shadow palette from Milani caught my eye at my local CVS for $9.99. Luckily for me, it was on sale 40% off! I couldn't pass it up. The colors look great in the palette but you never know how they are going to go on.  Here they are on my medium beige skin. I am still preparing for my Jamaica trip. I decided I don't want to take my fancy, expensive eye shadow palettes with me. They are big and I worry about them cracking during the traveling. A small palette is what I need. This Wet n Wild Studio Palette in Coming in Latte looks perfect! It's inexpensive, small and the colors look great. There are 10 colors in a variety of finishes.  The light matte neutral color is good for highlighting the brow bone, there are 5 metallic shimmers, there is a soft matte taupe brown, a very pigmented matte brown, a matte brown with a hint of shimmer and a very pigmented black. The weather here in Philly is feeling like summer! I love it but summer heat and humidity can trigger an acne breakout. The skin becomes more oily and sweaty.  Dead skin cells on our skin mix with all that oil and create a sticky film on the skin that clogs the pores trapping acne causing bacteria in the pores.  The bacteria that causes acne ( p acnes or proprionibacterium acnes) likes all that sebum (the oil the  skin produces) and can get out of control. The bacteria  actually eats the oil. It multiplies and causes inflammation  and pimples.  This is an interesting tidbit, the acne bacteria itself isn't  causing the breakout problem. It is the byproducts that are  produced by the bacteria as it digests the oil that cause the  breakout. I don't know about you, but I am always afraid of hanging pictures and decorations on my walls.
