Pink Nail Polish for Summer: The Zoya Pink Palette

The Zoya Pink Palette

Hi everyone!

I have been slacking off in the blog department lately. Sorry about that. I have been distracted building a new cutting flower garden. It is a big project and is coming along nicely except for battling the bugs and critters! I am posting my progress along with gardening tips on youtube if you would like to follow along. I call the garden Foxes Run Garden.

That being said, I would now like to show you the Zoya Pink Palette for Summer 2022 as well as the Hello Summer Curated Collection.

Zoya Joanie from Pink Palette

This Pink Palette collection has been going swimmingly well at the salon since pink is so great for summer. I'm a pink lover myself, especially for summer! There are cool creamy pinks and warm creamy pinks plus one iridescent glitter pink in this collection of 6 colors. I have included a swatch comparison in later this post. I think it really helps you see how the colors look.

I frequently have issues with steaking when applying light opaque colors that have a lot of white pigment in them.  Especially when the nails are ridgey.

One of the colors, Joanie, in this collection can go on a bit streaky. Three to four thin coats of polish will solve the issue. Polishing on fake nails also solves the issue!

People who have nail ridges should always use Zoya Get Even to prep the nails and create a smooth canvas to start with.

For the swatches in this post, I applied Zoya Naked Manicure Base, 2 to 4 coats of polish depending on the color and topped them all off with Zoya Ultra Glossy Seal.

Zoya Pink Palette

Zoya Angel

Zoya Angel swatch
Angel is a cool toned iridescent glitter pink that looks gorgeous as a topper or used all by itself. It contains pink, periwinkle and gold small glitter particles to create a light reflective finish. Use 3 to 4 coats to create a semi solid metallic finish. Use 1 coat over any color as a special effects topper.

Zoya Joanie

Zoya Joanie Swatch
Joanie is a well pigmented pale cool pink cream. It has that whitish pink look that is so bright and beachy! I find this type of pigmented pale pink can go on a bit streaky but will look absolutely amazing if you take your time and apply 3 to 4 thin coats to get a nice solid finish.

Zoya Maddy

Zoya Maddy Swatch
Maddy is a cool light creamy pink. It creates a similar beachy look like Joanie, but contains more pink making it softer looking. I like to apply 3 thin coats for a nice solid finish.

Zoya Shannon

Zoya Shannon Swatch
Shannon is a creamy medium warm toned pink that looks beautiful on many skin tones. Two coats will provide with nice even coverage. It's another shade that looks nice on many skin tones.

Zoya Kay

Zoya Kay Swatch
Kay is a bright warm toned pink. Two coats will give you nice coverage. It's a happy pink that is perfect for summer. I love it for toes!

Zoya Gigi

Zoya Gigi Swatch
Gigi is a bright warm toned pink that is almost coral. It has been the most popular color in the collection at the salon because it is so colorful and looks gorgeous on the fingers and toes!

White Bumps Under Eyes: Milia

Have you noticed that you have little white looking bumps under your eyes? Some people call it chicken skin because the bumps look like plucked chicken skin. 🐔 Most likely those little white bumps are milia. They can feel hard or pearly. These bumps are not acne. Milia can occur when dead skin cells become trapped beneath the outer layer of skin. Keratin becomes trapped and builds up. A small benign cyst can form which is the milia. It's a cyst!?! Don't let that word scare you. They are harmless, but unwanted bumps.  They can occur on any area of the skin that tends to be on the dry side. They cannot be squeezed out like a blackhead or pimple because they have no opening. A layer of skin covers them. A hole must be created in them using a needle, then they can be extracted out. Read more about blackhead, whiteheads and blind pimples This is a common problem for the under-eye area. It is a dry, delicate area of the skin. I see it a lot on my clients. Heavy products

Dermatofibromas

This post is all about dermatofibromas and some remedies to help make them look better and ways hide them. It includes my Amazon Affiliate Links to help you find the products I talk about. Q. I have this brown bump on my leg that won't go away. What can I do about it? A. It could be a dermatofibroma. I see them often on my leg waxing clients. A dermatofibroma is a tan to brown benign raised bump more common in women than men and occur commonly on the legs. The bump feels hard under the skin and can be itchy, tender and easily irritated. A doctor will tell you not to worry about it because it's benign, but it's kind of ugly! Dermatofibromas are also called Benign Fibrous Histiocytomas. They are the result of some sort of injury to the skin such as an ingrown hair or a bug bite.  Be careful when shaving because a dermatofibroma may bleed and become sore if nicked. Don't think you can get rid of it by shaving it off. It will be an awful looking sore and will j

Dermatofibroma on Leg

A Dermatofibroma is an unsightly brown or red bump that is very common on the legs. They are also called Benign Fibrous Histiocytomas and are more common in women than men. They can hurt, itch and become inflamed easily. They are the result of some sort of injury to the skin such as an ingrown hair or a bug bite.  I have tried lots of home remedies on my dermatofibroma. Some help it look better than others but the ugly thing is still there! Read more about dermatofibroma remedies. There is only one way to remove it for good...surgery. It must be surgically excised out. A dermatofibroma goes deep into the skin. It will only grow back if it is cut off of the skin at surface level. The problem with the removal is it leaves a long scar that is about 2 inches or so long. It has to be done that way to be able to sew the skin back together so it is smooth and not puckery. Here is a picture of a scar from the removal of a dermatofibroma. This scar was also treated with a laser to imp
