Purple Makeup: Eye Shadow, Blush, Lipstick and Nail Polish

Purple has always been one of my favorite colors especially the shades of soft lilac and rich shades deep blue violet. If you love the purple too, you can wear it easily by creating a beautiful purple makeup palette for your face with eye shadow, blush and lipstick. Don't shy away from purple. I find there are so many shades, anyone can wear it.

There are warm purples that have more of red in them, the red violets. There are cool purples that have more blue in them, the blue violets. A red violet and blue violet can be grayed to create soft mauved shades that anyone can wear.

Let me show you some beautiful purple cosmetics I like.

Eyes
I use purple a lot on my brides. Many of them have purple themed weddings and want to add a touch of purple to their makeup to coordinate.

purple eye shadow look
Here are some great purple eye shadows to get this look.

Apply Moondust from Honey Bee Gardens Powder Colors to the inner half of the eyelid.

Apply Livin' Lavish from the Too Faced Gold Chocolate Palette to the outer half of the eyelid blending it into the Moondust.

Apply the deepest shade in the Covergirl Eye Enhancers Blossoms Palette to the outer edge of the eyelid.

Use Decadent in the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette to line your eyes and create a little flick up on the outer eye.

The Too Faced Tutti Frutti Razzle Dazzle Berry Eye Shadow Palette is a beautiful palette of purply shades. It smells like berries too!!!

Blush
I find that a plum blush is very flattering and natural looking especially on medium to dark skin tones.

Some beautiful plum shades to try are:

It Cosmetics CC+ Ombre Radiance Blush in Sugar Plum has multiple shades of purple that create a soft natural dimensional look on yours cheeks. I love this one since I like to use more than one blush color on the cheeks to create beautiful shape and dimension.

Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Plum Plush. This is a great inexpensive way to get your plum cheeks!

For a deeper shade of warm plum, try Honest Beauty Creme Cheek Blush in Plum Berry. This is a cream blush that creates a nice dewy finish on the cheeks.
Lips
Purple lips can be super deep or bright purple for an avant garde look or a lovely natural looking medium shade of berry or soft lilac for a romantic look.
Zoya Maggie
The color above is Zoya Maggie. It's a beautiful berry shade that looks good on many skin tones. Zoya makes lots of easy to wear shades of purple.

For a fabulous bold purple look, I love Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Violet Volt! It's a fabulous bold purple.
Try Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipstick in Purple Rain for a dramatic matte look.

If you are looking for just a sheer hint of purple, Laura Mercier Stickgloss in Purple Haze gives you a moisturizing sheer wash of color. Lips in soft colors always pair well with bold dramatic eye shadow colors.

Need some glitter purple? Try Glitter Lips by Beauty Boulevard in Purple Reign. This is a super fun long wearing sparkling lip cream in a brilliant medium to dark shade of purple!
